The name describes my demeanour and voice! I love narrowboating and that is why this blog is mainly about the boat and our interaction with it. I have been keeping a log for Sonflower ever since we bought her and moved onto her as our main residence. Some incidents in our boating life have been hilarious, some scary and some down right dangerous. I cannot tell what will come in the future but you can now share them! Summer, step one

 On Thursday (17 June) Sueper crew joined us to take Sonflower from her home mooring on the first step of her Summer cruise. We stopped for lunch at Cropredy but apart from that there was nothing that stopped progress to our goal of The Wharf Inn at Fenny Compton. We arrived at 5.30pm. It was a lovely day. The only downside was the inn was closed for refurbishment. As we drove away and we were considering our take away options, it started to rain. Heavily.

9 miles, 12 locks, 7 hours.
